Cold pressed from freshly ripe sun-kissed avocados, Avocado oil nourishes and restorative to dry, cracked, dehydrated, and mature skin. This oil is best blended with other carrier oils.  A highly therapeutic oil beneficial for eczema, psoriasis, scars, stretch marks, would healing and sun damage due to its high content of vitamins A, B1, B2, D and E.  It is rich in triglycerides of oleic acid and contains lesser amount of palmitic, linoleic and palmitoleic acids.  Avocado oil is added to carriers in a 10%-20% dilution as an aid to skin moisturizing. 

Avocado oil it is often mistaken for a vegetable oil but it is actually a fruit since it has a stone - but none-the- less it can yield a staggering 30% oil and in its crude form is a great oil to use as carrier oil when performing aromatherapy massage.

Avocado Oil is used in many cosmetic and personal care such as bath products, eye makeup, lipstick, makeup bases, cleansing cream, hair conditioners, sunscreen lotions, as well skin and hair care products.

Product Application:
Carrier oils, also referred to as base oils or vegetable oils, are used to dilute essential oils, CO2s and absolutes before applying to the skin. Each carrier oil offers different properties and the choice depends on the therapeutic benefit being sought. Unlike essential oils, carrier oils do not evaporate or impart their aroma as strongly as essential oils. However, they usually have a shorter shelf life and can be mixed with a natural preservative such as vitamin E or wheatgerm oil for longer storage. Carrier oils should be natural and preferably cold-pressed. This ensures that the therapeutic qualities remain in the oil and have not been damaged by heat or chemicals. People allergic to nuts should not use any nut-based oils.
