Description: This evergreen shrub, when the bark is cut, produces a resin that is used in dentistry, a flavoring agent in liquers, the painting industry, as well as used in colognes and perfumes. A deep woodsy aroma with a faint balsamic-terpentine like scent.

The essential oil contains mainly monoterpene hydrocarbons-mostly pinene.
