Description: This herb widely used in Ayurvedic medicine is also a spice and one of the main ingredients of curry. The scent is spicy and extremely pungent. Known mainly for its digestive properties, it is also used in many meat dishes, breadmaking, flavoring and fragrance component.

The essential oil contains cuminic, cymene, dipentene, limonene, phellandrene and pinene.
