The essential oil of Palo santo (Bursera graveolens) is a sacred oil from Ecuador. The name is Spanish for "holy wood" or "saint wood". The wood is traditionally used much like frankincense for ritual ceremonies to purify, cleanse and balance the spirit, as well as smudging and incense for clearing negative energies. The essential oil is golden yellow and has subtle citrusy lemon topnotes with intense resinous woody notes. Known as a natural purifier, its properties are antiseptic, anti-anxiety, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory. Diffuse anytime to create a relaxing atmosphere.
