Description: Lavandin abrialis is a hybrid species but still prized for its antimicrobial properties. Also known as Lavandula intermedia var abrialis and Lavandula hybrida. It’s light pale yellow essential oil is known for its fresh, floral herbaceous scent, with a more camphor-like aroma, due to its higher levels of camphor and1,8 cineol.
The essential oil contains linalyl acetate, linalool, camphor, 1,8 cineole, among others.
Extensively used in soaps, detergents, room sprays, hair preparations, and industrial perfumes due to its long lasting aroma.
In aromatherapy, its uses can be used for most of the purposes that Lavender is used for, except it may sting on scratches and similar wounds. Beneficial for easing bronchial congestion caused by colds and flu, as well as soothing sore airways. Gentler than Lavender-Spike, so very beneficial for children and the elderly. Excellent for muscle aches and pains when used in a massage or in a relaxing bath.
